Description

Aerlinte Éireann was established in 1947 as a subsidiary of Aer Lingus, created to operate Ireland’s transatlantic air service. Although founded in the late 1940s, Aerlinte Éireann’s first transatlantic flight didn’t take place until April 28, 1958, when service officially began from Shannon and Dublin to New York using Lockheed Super Constellation aircraft. The airline played a key role in connecting Ireland to North America, but by 1960, its operations were fully merged back into Aer Lingus, consolidating both European and transatlantic routes under one national carrier — the Aer Lingus we know today. 3-color silkscreen ink on Bella+Canvas 3001 “Thyme”, 100% combed ring-spun cotton.
